Why does God allow suffering?
This is not a puzzle for most people. It is a wound. Anyone who answers it quickly has not sat with someone who is grieving.
The Bible never pretends pain is fine
A third of the Psalms are complaints. Job argues with God for chapters. Jesus wept at a grave He was about to open. Scripture gives you permission to be angry and to say so out loud.
Love that can be refused can also be abused
A world where people can genuinely love is a world where people can genuinely harm. Most of the suffering we inflict on each other is the cost of that freedom, not evidence that God is absent.
God did not stay outside it
The Christian answer is not an explanation, it is a Person. God entered the pain: betrayed, tortured, and killed. Whatever you are carrying, He is not commenting from a distance.
What the Bible says
“Jesus wept.”John 11:35 (KJV)
“The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit.”Psalm 34:18 (KJV)
“And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away.”Revelation 21:4 (KJV)
If you are in pain right now, you can ask for prayer and a real person will pray.
