What does the Bible say about anxiety?
The Bible says a great deal about fear, and almost never as a rebuke. Most often it is an invitation to hand something over.
Anxiety is not a sign of weak faith
Elijah wanted to die. David wrote panic into the Psalms. Jesus sweated in Gethsemane. Scripture is full of faithful people who were afraid.
Prayer is where you put it down
Paul's instruction is not to feel differently but to do something specific: tell God the details, thank Him, and let Him hold what you cannot.
Faith and help are not opposites
God works through doctors, counsellors and medicine. Getting help is not a failure of trust. If you are in crisis, contact your local emergency services or a crisis line today.
