How do I share the Gospel?

By Jeremy Osborn

Most people are not argued into the kingdom. They are loved, told the truth plainly, and given room to respond.

How then shall they call on him in whom they have not believed? and how shall they believe in him of whom they have not heard? and how shall they hear without a preacher?

Romans 10:14 (KJV)

What Scripture says

People cannot believe what they have never heard, so somebody has to tell them. Peter adds how: with gentleness and respect.

What this means

You do not need training or eloquence. You need your own story and the simple facts: Jesus died for our sins, rose again, and offers life to anyone who will receive Him.

Go deeper

Practise your story in three parts: what my life was like, what happened, what is different now. Two minutes is plenty.

Supporting Scripture

But sanctify the Lord God in your hearts: and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear.

1 Peter 3:15 (KJV)

And he said unto them, Go ye into all the world, and preach the gospel to every creature.

Mark 16:15 (KJV)

Think about it

Who are the three people God has already put in your life who do not know Him?

Put it into practice

Write down those three names and pray for them daily. Send this site to one of them today.

Pray

Lord, give me courage and love. Put someone in front of me today and let me speak. Amen.
